“End of the Alcan Smokeout” BBQ Competition

July 21-22, 2023

The DFA are excited to announce the Rural Deltana Volunteer Fire Department will be hosting the 2nd Annual DFA End of the Alcan Smokeout BBQ contest in Delta Junction. Drawing teams from around the state of Alaska as they battle it out for bragging rights.  The teams will compete in standard competition categories including Chicken, Ribs, Pork Shoulder, and Beef Brisket. 

$150 per Team Entry Fee

Competition Schedule
July 21st ~ Friday
Noon ~ Meat Inspection Starts ~ cooking may begin after inspection
1:00 pm ~ Head Cook’s meeting

Fairgrounds Entry:
Please enter via the Livestock gate (The second gate to the grounds) with your registration form for the competition and they will give you give directions to Meyer's Arena. Once you reach the arena, a director can help you locate your spot.
