Pie Baking Tips

1. Presentation - 1 extra point if within the theme of the fair.

2. Texture of filling - Does it hold its form, or is it soupy.

3. Flavor and texture of crust - needs to be flakey not crumble.

4. Flavor of pie.

Blueberry Pie Tips

1. Only Alaskan blueberries.

2. Pie must be covered at least 3/4 with crust.

3. Bring in a pie pan willing to part with.

Prize Highlights

Grand prize is the gold pie pan, pie carrier and $50.

Second place will get a blueberry picture.

Third place $10 gift certificate to the drive-in.

Event Schedule

Saturday, August 9th

12:30 - 12:45pm - Drop off pies at the Lion's Building.
12:45 - 1:45pm - Blind judging
2 - 2:30pm - Winners announced, prizes, and pies are auctioned.
